A feisty trio of innkeepers has put traditional competition aside and works together all for one and one for all as The Historic Inns of Rockland. Comprised of the Berry Manor Inn, Captain Lindsey House and LimeRock Inn, the cooperative has garnered distinctions ranging from Yankee Travel Guide picks to AAA 4-diamonds. Their edifices exude elegance; their warm interiors reveal the owners’ personalities: Look for the collection of wind-up dancing hamsters at Berry Manor Inn and the nautical artifacts at Captain Lindsey House. Like musketeers, the innkeepers have banded together to bring life to wintry Rockland with their annual Pies on Parade, Inn to Inn Pie Tour on 1/14 and 1/21/07 and the Inn to Inn Chocolate March, 3/9-3/11/07. Each of these tours features sumptuous tastings from sweet to savory pies and chocolates, and demonstrations from lattice crusts to chocolate soap. Events benefit the local food pantry and other nonprofits. June brings Lobsters, Lighthouse and Luxury Month, and September offers specials for baby boomers. 877.ROC.INNS, www.historicinnsofrockland.com
