Attitash in Bartlett, New Hampshire hosts dog sled rides throughout the 2006-7 season.  The New England Dog Sledding Team of Bethel, ME offers 1-hour guided tours in the Attitash Fields.   Steve Crone, 12-year veteran of dog sledding and owner of the company says, “This offers something exciting and fun to everyone and is a very special family experience.”
The 6-foot sled is guided by a “musher” (trained driver) and escorted by 4 or 5 Alaskan Huskies.  Traveling at speeds up to 15 miles per hour, teams will trot along the Saco River, through the Attitash Fields, venturing through woods and meadows around Attitash.  Along the way, riders will view Attitash, the surrounding mountains and Crawford Notch.
Daytime and evening rides are available by reservation only.  Sled rides are $145 per sled and each sled can hold up to three people and a maximum of 320 pounds.
Available on weekends and during holidays, weather and conditions permitting.  800.951.6681
