Tired of being a “belay slave”? Want to learn to ice climb in a safe and supportive atmosphere? Chicks with Picks offers 2 extended clinics for women located in North Conway in February. Chicks East, February 16-19, is open to women of all ages and abilities and is designed to teach self-reliance through skill development in a fun, noncompetitive environment. The focus is to learn new techniques, improve current skills and provide women with opportunity to learn from accomplished women climbers and guides. The Chicks Teaser, February 20-22, claims to make climbers hunger for more! Climbers drive to local climbing venues, practice in a four-to-one ratio and return to the cozy Cranmore Inn for evenings of home cooked meals and tea in front of the fire.
